Britain cuts front line tank crews
The British Army could lose up to a third of its front line tank crews under the UK’s Strategic Defence and Security Review.
In an announcement on 15 December, defence secretary Michael Fallon stated that one of the three heavy armoured regiments that use the Challenger 2 (CR2) main battle tank – the Kings’s Royal Hussars – would switch to using the Ajax tracked armoured reconnaissance vehicle instead.
