Barys 8x8 enters final field testing
Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering’s new Barys 8x8 IFV has almost completed testing and could enter service with the Kazakhstan army in the next few years.
Shephard has learnt that the Barys 8x8 IFV - which is a local modification of Paramount Group’s Mbombe 8 first unveiled during the KADEX 2016 exhibition - is expected to enter the final stage of field trials this summer.
They will be conducted on the army’s testing grounds and supervised by MoD officials, who will then evaluate the results.
