AUSA 2016: Suppressive fire concept to be to be unveiled

Control Solutions will be unveiling its design to provide the current inventory of open manned turrets with a new remote suppressive fire (RSF) capability.

According to Robert Stratton, a business development executive at Control Solutions LLC, the company saw need for improvement involved operational scenarios in which the gunner was engaged by hostile fire.

‘When they are in an intense firefight the gunners on these vehicles have no choice but to duck down inside the vehicle to avoid getting shot,’ he said. ‘So, when the gunner in these vehicles needs suppressive fires the most, they need to duck down inside
