Amphibious vehicles arriving for USMC
The US Marine Corp's Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV 1.1) programme is gathering pace as more vehicles are delivered for testing.
On 21 February it took delivery of the first of 16 Terrex 2 amphibious combat vehicles from SAIC and its partner Singapore Technologies, which designed the vehicle.
This is part of the evaluation phase of the ACV 1.1 programme, which SAIC was selected for in November 2015 alongside a rival team lead by BAE Systems with its partner Iveco. These two were down-selected from an initial group of four that included General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin.
