Aero India: OFB calls for workshare changes
Major changes are expected in India's Defence Procurement Procedure and the Defence Production Policy in coming months.
Hoping the changes might result in some much-needed efficiency, the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) says it wants the new and revised version to better suit its workshare with the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO).
The DRDO and OFB are working together on many weapon systems, such as the joint venture protective carbine, under barrel grenade launcher and multi-calibre assault rifle, and the workshare for each project varies from 5 to 10% given to the OFB.
