USN exercises Trident II production option
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $40.3 million US Navy contract modification exercising options for the further production and support of the Trident II D5 submarine-launched ballistic missile.
Work will be performed at various sites across the US, and is expected to be completed by 30 September 2024.
FY20 navy weapons procurement funds of $32 million and other FY20 navy funds of $8.3 million were allocated at the time of award.
Strategic Systems Programs based in Washington, DC is the contracting activity for the award.
