South East Asia remains pirate hot spot
South East Asia remains the hotspot for maritime crime incidents, according to second quarter figures from intelligence experts Dryad Maritime.
A total 12 cases of vessels being boarded while underway in the area of Singapore have been reported during 2014. In addition, there have been a further 19 reports of robberies, attempted robberies and suspicious approaches in the anchorages to the east of the Singapore Strait.
