INS Nilgiri stealth frigate launched
India has launched the new INS Nilgiri stealth frigate for its navy from the Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders facility in Mumbai.
INS Nilgiri is the first of the navy's seven new stealth frigates that are being developed under India’s Project 17A effort.
The Nilgiri-class design is a derivative of the Shivalik-class stealth frigates, but includes more advanced stealth features and indigenous weapons and sensors.
