Bahrain requests Robert G Bradley refurb
Bahrain has requested a programme of work from the US government to refurbish an Oliver Hazard Perry class ship.
The vessel, ex US Navy frigate Robert G Bradley, requires refurbishment to include spares, support, training, publications, and other related elements of logistics and support. The work has been requested under the US government’s foreign military sales programme at an estimated cost of $150 million.
The work will refurbish and support the grant transfer of the vessel, which was authorised for transfer under Public Law 115-232, Section 1020. Bahrain already operates another Oliver Hazard Perry class ship.
USS Robert G Bradley (FFG 49) was decommissioned from the US Navy in March 2014 and offered for foreign military sales.
