The recent experience of air operations over Libya has highlighted the continuing difficulties that NATO nations and other allies continue to have when it comes to interoperability, according to Jack Harrington, CEO of ThalesRaytheonSystems (TRS).
Speaking to Shephard at the Farnborough International Airshow, Harrington said that in a digital age countries should be able to do better than pass pieces of paper between them. He said that although armed forces were now able to work seamlessly on a sovereign basis there were issues when it comes to passing data between nations.
