US Navy orders AARGM
Northrop Grumman has been awarded Lot 8 Full Rate Production of the AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) by the US Navy.
The awarded, announced on 30 July, is valued at $167 million and includes options for increased quantities for the US Navy, and missiles for the Italian Air Force and foreign military sales.
AARGM is a US Navy and Italian Air Force international cooperative acquisition programme. The missile is currently deployed on US Navy and US Marine Corps F/A-18C/D Hornet, F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft; and the Italian Air Force’s Tornado Electronic Combat aircraft.
