UK joint exercise to commence on 11 April
The UK Ministry of Defence has announced that a bi-annual joint military exercise with the UK's Royal Navy, British Army and Royal Air Force will take place from 11 April to 24 April.
The NATO exercise Joint Warrior will have 55 warships and submarines, 70 aircraft and around 13,000 personnel taking part from 13 participating countries. It will take place across various UK locations.
Significant aerial and naval activity will take place off the West and East coast of Scotland, including amphibious landings on the West coast. Aircraft will also operate from air force bases in Lossiemouth, Leeming, Marham and Brize Norton.
There will be ground and aerial activity, including airborne landings, around Salisbury Plain and other Defence Estate areas in Scotland, Northern England, South Wales and Central England.
