Moscow orders fifth-generation fighters

The Russian MoD has placed a large-size order for the new Sukhoi Su-57 fifth-generation fighter. This follows two earlier orders for four production-standard Su-57s for the Russian Air and Space Forces (RuASF) dating back to 2017 and 2018.
According to the Russian minister of industry and trade, Denis Manturov (overseeing the country’s aerospace industry), the new order, placed during the Army-2019 defence exhibition, held in Kubinka, near Moscow, covered as many as 76 aircraft. These Su-57s are to be built at the
