US Army partners with Global Military Products to surge munitions production
Global Military Products was selected by the US Army to operate the Quad Cities Cartridge Case Facility and ramp up the production of various calibre shell cases.
AirTran Airways has begun nonstop service from Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, KY, to both Orlando International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The inaugural flight was celebrated with an event hosted by the airline at the airport featuring famous Kentucky resident and Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day.
