USMC weighs up FVL options

The USMC is keeping a close eye on FVL developments as it holds out, for the time being, on a specific acquisition process for a H-1 replacement.

Assessment of several technologies to ‘most effectively meet operational requirements,’ is however, underway, according to a USMC spokesperson's statement, declining to mention any potential platforms under consideration.

‘Tiltrotors are one of many options. It is still too early to say anything definitively on which technology will be employed for FVL,’ he added.
