US Navy sets sights on ageing OH-58 upgrade
The US Naval Air Systems Command is calling for prospective industry parties to put forward their bids to upgrade the avionics suite of its ageing Bell OH-58 Kiowa light attack helicopters, with Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) compatible technology.
A Request for Quotations (RfQ) notice, last updated on 21 June, reveals that any future purchase by the Pentagon will be completed on a 'firm fixed-price basis', with it intending to 'solicit and award the proposed purchase order on a competitive basis.'
