UN plans BONUCA helicopter tender release

The United Nations is preparing to release a tender for the supply of two medium utility helicopters to support the UN Peace-building Office in the Central African Republic (BONUCA) and operations in Chad.

The lease arrangement is predicated on a two year contract commencing 15 October this year with options for an additional year. An invitation to bid will be issued by the UN procurement division on 6 August.

The BONUCA aircraft will bolster the UN’s already significant helicopter charter operations in Africa, dominated by operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo using Russian built aircraft.
