UK helicopter manufacturing sits at a political crossroads

As the UK’s parliament is in the midst of its annual summer recess, now is the time to take stock and see through the political rhetoric of helicopter manufacturing in Great Britain discussed recently in the chambers.

In the legislative body of parliament, the House of Lords, which holds to account the executive decisions made in the House of Commons, Lord Ashdown of Norton-sub-Hamdon (Lib Dem) on 10 July introduced a debate on the UK’s ongoing capability to design and manufacture helicopters.
