Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
The Royal Thai Navy (RTN), which has been performing both civilian and military missions with its H145M helicopters, is expected to buy more to replace its Bell 212 fleet.
The RTN acquired five H145Ms (EC645 T2) from Airbus Helicopters for $71.2 million. They were delivered on 21 September 2016 and commissioned into 202 Squadron on 10 November.
Ten pilots have been conducting flight training for six months, with each gaining about 80-100 flight hours. Most were previously Bell 212 pilots.
Earlier this year they deployed for the first time in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations during southern Thailand
