Germany to send WS-61 Westland Sea King helicopters to Ukraine
Germany has committed to sending Ukraine six of its 21 retiring WS-61 Westland Sea King multirole, amphibious helicopters.
Some calling it the star of this year’s SOFEX exhibition, the Russian Helicopters Mil Mi-26T2 cargo helicopter for the Jordanian armed forces has made its first public outing.
A military official explained that, since delivery, the Mi-26T2 has participated in a fire-fighting exercise with the Jordanian civil defence forces, in which the helicopter was equipped with a Bambi Bucket capable of carrying 15t.
In 2016 King Abdullah Design and Development Bureau signed a contract with Russian Helicopters for the supply of four Mi-26T2. In January 2018, the Royal Jordanian Air Force (JAF) confirmed the delivery of one of four Mi-26T2s.
