Singapore Airshow 2018: Singapore receives final Seahawks

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) has displayed one of its two newest Sikorsky S-70B Seahawk helicopters at Singapore Airshow 2018, with the pair of aircraft only having arrived in the island state last month.

The new ‘Block 2’ helicopters carry the same L3 HELRAS dipping sonar as the existing six. However, they do have avionics software updates compared to the older aircraft, plus the tactical coordination officer now has his own controls for the nose-mounted EO/IR sensor.

The addition of these two helicopters brings the RSN’s Seahawk fleet to eight, all owned by the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s
