Russian Helicopters has delivered the last batch of Mi-17V5 military transport helicopters to India, the company announced on 2 February.

A total of 151 Mi-17V5 helicopters, produced by JSC Kazan Helicopters, have now been delivered to the country.

The Mi-17V5 helicopters are equipped with a KNEI-8 avionics suite and powerful engines that improve payload capability at higher altitudes.

Alexander Mikheev, CEO, Russian Helicopter, said: ‘India is one of the key markets for Russian helicopter building industry and the largest operator of Russian-made helicopters in the South-East Asia. Today, this country uses more than 400 helicopters, which have proved themselves well. We produce high-tech multirole helicopters capable of solving the most difficult tasks anywhere in the world.’
