Russia receives Mi-28N Night Hunter helicopter

Russian Helicopters ended 2017 with the delivery of a Mi-28N Night Hunter to the Russian armed forces.

The attack helicopter was delivered to the Russian Western Military District’s helicopter regiment based in St Petersburg and subsequently received following successful factory testing, according to the Russian MoD.

It was originally announced in November that a undisclosed batch of the helicopters were due to be delivered imminently at that time.

The aircraft was originally developed for the country’s air force; with the service taking receipt of its first Night Hunter 12 years ago.

The Mi-28N is designed to operate under sustained fire
