Philippine military receives more AW109s

The Philippine Navy (PN) and Air Force (PAF) have had their helicopter capability bolstered with the delivery of four disassembled AgustaWestland AW109 Power helicopters to the Philippines on 28 December. 

Defence Undersecretary for Finance Fernando Manalo disclosed: ‘They are now being assembled and, according to the timeline I received, they will be flown to Clark, Pampanga for testing and acceptance.’ 

Two of the helicopters are destined for the PN and is expected to commission the aircraft later this month.
