Afghanistan orders more MD 530Fs

The Afghan Air Force (AAF) will add a dozen new armed light helicopters with enhanced mission equipment to its fleet under an award by the US Department of Defense, announced on 11 January.

An MD Helicopters spokesperson said the company was ‘excited’ by the order for 12 MD 530F Cayuse Warrior scout attack rotorcraft, which was awarded under the auspices of the Army Non-Standard Rotary Wing Aviation Program Office.
