MAKS 2013: Ekran's DIRCM available for export

The President-S laser directed IR counter measure system for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft was displayed for the first time at the MAKS airshow near Moscow.

Alexander Kisletsov, the head of the export department of the Ekran Research Institute, a subsidiary of Russia's Radioelectronic Technologies Concern, told Shephard that the President-S, the export version of the system integrated in Russian Air Force Mi-28N attack helicopters, has recently been approved by the government for sale to foreign customers.

The system will be offered on the Russian Helicopters Mi-28NE export variant but Kisletsov said the President-S could also be integrated in other helicopters
