Leonardo to manufacture UK Apache subsystem
Following an electronic warfare systems and counter measures contract award, issued by the European Union’s electronic tenders service, Leonardo is to manufacture defensive aid systems for the UK’s AH-64E Apache attack helicopter.
Details within the £4m contract notification stipulate that the agreement will cover: ‘The modification of existing helicopter integrated defensive aids system items and will enable delivery of an integrated defensive aids system which is a critical sub-system on the Apache.’
