ADEX 2015: LCH/LAH to help Airbus penetration

Airbus Helicopters sees the Light Civil Helicopter/Light Attack Helicopter (LCH/LAH) programme in South Korea as an avenue to deepen penetration of the country’s rotorcraft market.

The LCH should help the company move from its current 30% market share to 60% after 2020, according to Norbert Ducrot, Airbus Helicopters’ senior vice president North Asia, briefing reporters at the Seoul ADEX show on 20 October.

He noted it is rare to develop a civil and military platform simultaneously, but that ‘Korea is a true partner, a reliable partner, and that’s important’.
