LAAD 2019: Lockheed keen to offer armed Black Hawks in Brazil and beyond

With a large number of UH-60 Black Hawks already operating in Brazil, Lockheed Martin could offer up its armed version to the country for its new attack helicopter programme.

Brazil currently has 20 Black Hawks in its fleet alongside six Sea Hawks in the Brazilian Navy.

When asked if the company would offer up the armed Black Hawk as an alternative procurement route opposed to the service acquiring new aircraft, Adam Schierholz, VP and regional sales executive for Latin America at Lockheed Martin said, ‘absolutely’.
