LAAD 2017: Helibras outlines helo upgrade prospects

Brazilian helicopter manufacturer Helibras, based in Itajubá, Brazil, is looking to grow further through additional Panther and Dauphin upgrades.

Currently, there are two ongoing contracts at the facility: the modernisation of the AS550 A2 and AS350 L1 aircraft for the Brazilian Army, as well as the upgrading of the legacy AS365 Panther K2 aircraft.

These aircraft are expected to be joined by the Argentinean Coast Guard, which has expressed an interest in upgrading some of their fleet to the AS565 MBe Panther.
