Helitech 2015: FastFin tail mod on display
BLR Aerospace showcased its FastFin system for the Bell Helicopter 412 at this year’s Helitech International show held at the ExCel Centre.
FastFin – which costs around $90,000 – modifies the tailboom with dual tailboom strakes and a re-shaped vertical fin, which optimises airflow to improve handling, safety and lifting.
Dave Marone spoke to Shephard about the benefits that FastFin brings to helicopter operators.
