The company formerly known as AgustaWestland has revealed a rebranded and revamped SW-4 at Heli-Expo in Louisville.

While still produced by Finmeccanica Helicopter Division’s Polish subsidiary, PZL Swidnik, the aircraft is now branded as the AW009 and features an upgraded avionics suite by Genesys Aerosystems.

Speaking to reporters before the opening on Heli-Expo, Daniele Romiti, managing director of Finmeccanica Helicopter Division said the aircraft would feature the same man-machine interface as the AW109 Trekker.

In addition, the manufacturer is considering a parallel engine upgrade, likely an up-rated version of the current Rolls Royce M250-C20R engine.
