German MoD and Airbus Helicopters agree on new framework agreement

The German MoD is awaiting parliamentary approval for a revised framework agreement it has worked out with Airbus Helicopters. Building on the March 2013 memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding the revision of the number of NH90 and Tiger UHT helicopters on order.

The latest agreement will see a number of changes being implemented when given the green light by the financial experts of the Bundestag. 

On 26 November, German defence minister Ursula von der Leyen informed the parliament’s select defence committee about the MoD’s plans to increase the number of NH90s that are to be procured to meet the requests
