​Czech government to assess heli options

The Czech government will now begin the assessment of  proposals for the supply of multipurpose helicopters needed to bolster its ageing inventory.

In a statement made on 31 October, it was announced that the Czech MoD had received an offer from Italy and the US to supply a dozen multipurpose helicopters.

These proposals will now be considered and evaluated by the government.

A Czech MoD spokesperson told Shephard the multipurpose procurement will be for the replacement of the Russian Helicopter two-engine Mi-24 attack aircraft and confirmed that two parties have made offers which will be looked at imminently. ‘The new government
