Boeing set for AH-6i production

Boeing will begin production of its AH-6i light attack helicopter by December 2015, according to company officials. 

The company will open the production line at its Mesa site in Arizona with views to begin rolling out airframes from around December 2016. 

The company is currently in the middle of flight testing for their ‘international customer’, according to Brad Rounding, business development manager for Boeing attack helicopters.

While he would not confirm the aircraft’s launch customer, the first aircraft to come off the production line is understood to be destined for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of the National Guard (SAMNG), which
