Boeing has received a new $160 million contract to continue its support for the US Army's inventory of H-47 Chinook rotor blades, the company announced on 1 October.

The five-year performance-based logistics agreement calls for the continued management of stock availability and the overhaul of all Chinook blades for the army.

Under the contract, Boeing will be responsible for rotor blade maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as developing innovative ways to save blades that would typically be removed from service. The company will support rotor blades on more than 450 US Army Chinooks around the globe.
