Becker Avionics is a proud participant in the US Army UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) program, providing the Digital Airborne Audio and Intercom System for the UH-72A aircraft. Top US Army officials recently recognized the success of the program at the 100th aircraft delivery ceremony in Columbus, MS.

With over 100 UH-72A Lakota Light Utility Helicopters delivered to the US Armed Forces, Becker Avionics Digital Airborne Audio and Intercom System, the DVCS6100, helps contribute to this highly successful aircraft's ability to accomplish America's vital homeland security mission.

Becker Avionics popular commercial certified Digital Airborne Intercom System was selected after detailed evaluation as a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution for the UH-72A platform. Today, military grade COTS equipment provides effective alternative solutions to costly mil-spec hardware, while reducing not only program costs but also delays in program schedules.

The DVCS6100 Digital Airborne Intercom System was designed for both rotary and fixed-wing applications, and fully reflects Becker Avionics' proven know-how of more than four decades in audio system development for the aerospace industry.
Brett Gardner, Director of Sales and Marketing and former US Army Aviator stated, "As the leading reliable and robust COTS Digital Audio and Intercom System on the market, the DVCS6100 is the ideal cost effective solution for the upcoming Army UH-1H and OH-58D upgrade programs as the system provides a high-tech, reliable long-term solution."

Since the market introduction of the 1st DVCS generation, almost 700 systems have been placed into service while at the same time achieving outstanding field reliability. The result of continuous product improvements has made the DVCS6100 another Becker Avionics success story. Becker's production facility in Miramar, Florida is scheduled to deliver up to 60 DVCS systems to the Army LUH program this year.
