Aero India 2019: Indian Air Force to receive Chinooks and Apaches soon
The first four CH-47F Chinooks arrived in India on 10 February 2019 and are expected to be received by the Indian Air Force in March.
One of the Chinooks is currently in the north of the country at an air force station, Dave Koopersmith, VP and general manager at Boeing Vertical Lift, confirmed: ‘We are on or ahead of schedule and the first airplane is now at Chandigarh. So, we are very excited about the progress we have made and the promises made, promises kept. India is our 20th customer for this platform.’
