Denel Aviation has announced that two more upgraded Rooivalk combat support helicopters have been delivered to the South African Air Force (SAAF).

They were delivered at the beginning of September, with ten now in service with the 16 Squadron at AFB Bloemspruit.

They were handed over during the Africa Aerospace and Defence exhibition in Pretoria, South Africa, on 19 September, and the last one to be delivered is currently going through pre-delivery testing, the company said.

The first AH-2A Rooivalk modified to Block 1F standard was delivered back to the SAAF in September 2010.

It was designed as an anti-tank
