AAD 10: Eurocopter sales in region increase

The head of Eurocopter's southern African operations, Fabrice Cagnat, said at African Aerospace and Defence 2010 that Eurocopter Southern Africa was expecting a 35% growth in its business in 2010 as the market revives.

The company expects to book orders of EUR50.4 million in 2010 with a turnover of around EUR41.6 million. This revival in the company's southern African fortunes is, according to Cagnat, largely the result of a renewed interest in airborne law enforcement and civic emergency response applications including emergency medical services (EMS).
