QinetiQ to deliver engineering services for Typhoon
QinetiQ has secured a new five-year, £127 million ($172.53 million) contract from the UK MoD to provide engineering services for Eurofighter Typhoon.
The contract will form the second stage of the Phased Enhancement Programme for Typhoon. It was awarded under the Engineering Delivery Partner (EDP) framework agreement between the Aurora Engineering Partnership (including QinetiQ) and MoD Defence Equipment & Support, the company noted in a 4 January statement.
Services to be provided include planning, acceptance, regulatory assurance and trials support, as well as initiatives to optimise in-service capabilities of the Typhoon aircraft.
Since its inception in 2018, contracts worth a total of more than £500 million have been awarded under the EDP framework.
