Air National Guard awaits F-15EX basing announcement
The director of the US Air National Guard (ANG) has declared it remains ‘on track’ to deploy its first Boeing F-15EX Eagle fighters in FY2022.
Speaking in a 10 June teleconference, Lt Gen L. Scott ‘Catfish’ Rice said an announcement on the proposed basing of F-15EXs ‘is expected within the next month or so’ by the Secretary of the Air Force.
Rice said that he has ‘been in discussion over the last few months’ on this issue with Air Combat Command (ACC) and US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) among the participants.
