US and India to co-produce Raven B

The hand-launched Raven B is to be co-developed and co-produced by US-based AeroVironment and Bangalore-based Dynamatic Technologies after President Barack Obama extended the Defense Trade and Technology Initiative (DTTI) by ten years.

The DTTI was first signed in 2005 but has been extended to 2025 and contains a few additions with one such addition being the Raven B deal.

With a wingspan of 4.5 feet and weighing 4.2 pounds, the Raven B can be operated manually or programmed for autonomous operation.

However, the news has not been welcomed by all. There have been rumblings in the small and medium UAV
