UK and French MuMNS arriving end of 2019

The UK Royal Navy and French Navy will each receive their first Multi Shot Mine Neutralisation (MuMNS) remotely operated vehicle (ROV) by the end of 2019, Saab officials have disclosed.

During a media roundtable, Saab’s engineering and defence sales manager, Chris Lade, announced deliveries would take place further to the ROV system installation in Brest in July and end to end testing taking place in Q3 of this year. The ROV completed system demonstrations in May, he added. Operational evaluation with both navies will take place over the course of 2020 and beyond.
