ScanEagle 3 could push price point down for original platform

Just two weeks after unveiling its ITAR-free ScanEagle 3 design at Xponential in Denver, Insitu made its first public flight of the new UAV at the Centro de Experimentación de El Arenosillo near Mazagón, Spain on 16 May.

The new addition to the Insitu UAS family could see the price point of the original ScanEagle go down.

Speaking at the company’s Onward18 event held in Spain Jon Damush, chief growth officer at Insitu, said that the ScanEagle three fills the gap between the ScanEagle and the larger Integrator UAS system.
