Russia’s Kalashnikov company and the Russian MoD are set to begin negotiations on the possible delivery of the KUB-BLA expendable unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV).

This information was revealed by Sergey Abramov, industrial director for conventional weapons, ammunition and special chemicals at Rostec, the parent company of Kalashnikov.

Abramov told the press that Rostec anticipates receiving export orders for this brand-new weapons system, the first Russian disposable UCAV.

He claimed that the KUB-BLA has been designed to be an effective and low-cost system for the destruction of small-size ground targets such as lightly-armed combat vehicles and semi-hardened shelters.
