FLIR lifts lid on Black Hornet software upgrade and further NBCRV SSU development
FLIR Systems has announced an upgrade programme for its Black Hornet nano-UAV (pictured), plus more details on its 380X hardware, firmware, and software upgrade for Star SAFIRE 380 system.
The company also outlined plans to install the NBC Reconnaissance Vehicle Sensor Suite Upgrade (NBCRV SSU) on additional platform types.
The Black Hornet Personal Reconnaissance System (PRS) upgrade is a software improvement to the PRS 4.1 standard, a component of which is an ‘autonomous automatic backtracking’ function.
