Poland procures additional Teledyne Gavias
The Polish MoD has procured two additional Gavia UUVs from Teledyne Marine, which will be used by the country’s second and third Kormoran-class MCMV.
Remontowa Shipbuilding is facilitating the delivery of the UUVs for use by the Polish Navy on MCM operations.
Each of the new platforms will include the latest EdgeTech 2205 sidescan sonars with a BlueView MB2250 Microbathymetry Module and gapfill from the BlueView MB2250.
Gavia is supported in Poland by Teledyne’s local representative, Enamor. The company is a research and production group focused on new technologies and active on many projects in Poland.
Maciej Rek, CEO of Teledyne Marine, said: ‘Over the years, Teledyne Gavia and Enamor have formed a strong relationship based on the success of the Gavia UUV in Poland, as well as the local support that has been provided by Enamor.’
