Phasa-35 team reveal plans to win unmanned solar sky race

BAE Systems and project partner Prismatic have revealed more information about the Phasa-35 as they look to begin production of the solar-powered HALE UAV in 2021.

After announcing plans for collaboration in May 2018, the joint venture will begin testing in Q3 FY 2019 and plans to begin production of the aircraft two years later. 

Company officials further disclosed to Shephard a competitive pricing strategy and design which they hope will keep the Phasa-35 solar powered HALE UAV a viable option in this emerging sector.
