MANET radios integrated on new US Army UGV

Persistent Systems has teamed up with Endeavor Robotics to provide its mobile ad hoc network (MANET) technology as part of the US Army’s Man-Transportable Robotic System Increment II (MTRS II).

For the new UGV, Persistent Systems’ MPU5 was chosen by Endeavor to be the MANET to provide secure and long-range data communication for C2, video, and CBRNe and other critical sensor data.

The MPU5 radio comes in two forms, handheld and embedded - the latter is optimised for SWaP requirements for unmanned platforms, replacing specialised equipment.
